July Meeting

July 25th at 7:00 p.m. 

at the Valley Farmers Co-Op in Athens

The topic for the July meeting will be 

Storing Drawn Comb and Managing Bees 

during the Hot Summer Months, 

presented by Myron McCleary.

 Also there will be a recap of the Heartland Apicultural Society meeting that was held recently in Cookeville.  

NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT: 

Honey crop will be lower this year due to a lot of spring swarming and above average rain. Some Beekeepers are reporting honey moisture as high as 19 and 20%. 

We are finding a wide range of honey colors and flavor. Would like for members to bring a jar of honey so we can test the moisture and brag about 

the color and flavor.
